Providence, Rhode Island, The Assistant to the Director of Intercollegiate Athletics and Recreation helps shape a positive, engaging experience for student-athletes and the broader campus community. Working closely with the director, this role supports student-athlete success and keeps athletics and recreation programs running smoothly by coordinating student support services, team travel, facilities, and athletic events. The position also contributes to fundraising, community outreach, and marketing, while guiding student-athlete leadership activities and helping build school spirit and fan engagement. Required qualifications
Education: Bachelor’s Degree.
Experience: At least four years’ experience gained by working in a college or university environment.
Preferred qualifications
Education: Master’s Degree in physical education, recreation, sports administration, or related field.
Experience: Bilingual.
Required skills, knowledge, and abilities
Good interpersonal and communication skills (written and oral).
Ability to work with a diversified population.
Strong knowledge and ability with computers and web-based programs.
