POSITION OVERVIEW Reporting to the Executive Vice President for Advancement, Athletics, & Career Services, the Director of Intercollegiate Athletics provides leadership and oversight for Southwestern University’s varsity athletics programs, including the effective management of athletics operations, facilities, programs, and staff. DUTIES Administer all aspects of a 22-sport intercollegiate NCAA Division Ill athletic program o include budgeting, staffing, compliance, and event management. Oversee all aspects of the operations of the Robertson Center, Athletic Fieldhouse, and all athletic fields. Hire, train, and supervise staff who are tasked with providing the required services of a high-performance Division Ill athletic program. Engage with campus leadership in the essential areas of academic success, retention, student life, student health, and career services. Actively support the Enrollment Management staff in the recruitment of new students. Participate in fundraising and revenue generation efforts to support enhanced opportunities for students. Be a vocal and active supporter of all campus initiatives. Positively represent the models and ideals of Southwestern University. ADDITIONAL DUTIES Serve as the institutional representative to all required NCAA and Conference committees. Serve on all on-campus committees as assigned. Assess opportunities for Non-SU related campus usage in alignment with the President's directives. Supervise the implementation of FRA courses. Starting annual salary: $145,025. The final offer for the successful candidate will be commensurate with experience and may exceed the starting annual salary.
