Tiffin, Ohio, The Tiffin University Athletics Department is accepting applications for a Men’s & Women’s Tennis Graduate Assistant.
This position requires flexible hours, including mornings, evenings, and weekends, based on practice, competition, recruiting, travel, fundraising, and other team activities.
The primary responsibility of this position is to support the mission of Tiffin University, the Athletic Department, and the Men’s and Women’s Tennis programs. The Graduate Assistant will work directly with the Head Tennis Coach and assist with the day-to-day operation, development, and continued success of both programs.
The Tennis Graduate Assistant will be involved in all aspects of operating a competitive NCAA Division II tennis program.
Assist the Head Coach with the daily operation of the Tiffin University Men’s and Women’s Tennis programs.
Assist with planning and conducting team practices, individual workouts, conditioning sessions, and player development.
Provide on-court instruction, including technical and tactical development, match preparation, and competitive training.
Assist with coaching responsibilities during home and away competitions and tournaments.
Assist with recruiting prospective student-athletes, including identifying prospects, evaluating players, communicating with recruits, campus visits, and maintaining recruiting databases.
Develop and maintain positive relationships with current student-athletes and assist in supporting their academic, athletic, and personal development.
Assist with team travel arrangements, transportation, equipment, scheduling, and other program logistics.
Assist with home match and tournament operations, including court preparation, equipment setup, scoring, and event management.
Assist with fundraising initiatives, alumni engagement, community service, and other program development activities.
Assist with social media, recruiting content, and the overall promotion of Tiffin University Tennis as assigned.
Help maintain tennis facilities, equipment, uniforms, and program inventory.
Assist with administrative responsibilities, including recruiting records, compliance documentation, scheduling, statistics, and other program-related duties.
Participate in Athletic Department meetings, events, professional development opportunities, and compliance education as assigned.
Represent Tiffin University and the Tennis programs in a professional manner and comply with all University, Great Midwest Athletic Conference (G-MAC), and NCAA policies and regulations.
Maintain required certifications, training, and compliance documentation.
Perform other duties as assigned by the Head Tennis Coach and Athletic Department.
