Job Description

Edison, New Jersey, The Digital Content Coordinator & Correspondent supports the Conference’s digital media, social media, and content creation efforts. The position creates engaging content that highlights the Conference, its member institutions, student-athletes, coaches, championships, and events. The Digital Correspondent shoots and edits video, creates graphics, conducts interviews, and serves as an on-camera personality for the Conference’s digital and social media platforms. Key responsibilities include: Digital Content & Social Media: Assist with the creation of original digital and social media content highlighting Metro Conference student-athletes, coaches, teams, championships, and member institutions. Develop short-form video content, features, interviews, behind-the-scenes content, and other creative content for Conference platforms. Assist with day-to-day content development for Metro Conference social media platforms. Identify creative content opportunities and emerging social media trends that can help increase engagement and showcase the Conference. Work with Conference staff and member institutions to identify compelling stories and content opportunities throughout the academic year. On-Camera & Interviews: Serve as an on-camera correspondent for the Metro Conference. Conduct interviews with student-athletes, coaches, administrators, and other individuals associated with the Conference. Deliver on-camera stand-ups, event previews, recaps, features, and other digital segments. Assist with on-site coverage of Conference championships, regular-season contests, media events, and other Conference initiatives. Research interview subjects and prepare questions and other materials for on-camera assignments. Championships & Event Coverage: Assist with digital and social media coverage at select Metro Conference championships and special events. Capture and produce interviews, highlights, behind-the-scenes content, and other digital content at Conference events. Assist with digital and on-camera coverage of the Metro Conference Men’s and Women’s Basketball Championships in Atlantic City. Assist with coverage of NCAA championships hosted by the Conference and other special events. Perform other duties and special projects as assigned. Video Production & Editing: Shoot and edit video content for Conference digital and social media platforms. Assist with all aspects of video production, including planning, shooting, audio, editing, graphics, and post-production. Produce timely content surrounding games and events, including interviews, highlights, behind-the-scenes content, and social media videos. Assist with organizing and maintaining the Conference’s video and digital content library. Assist with the care and maintenance of Conference video production equipment. Graphic Design: Create graphics for Conference digital and social media platforms consistent with established Metro Conference branding standards. Assist with graphics supporting championships, awards, schedules, student-athlete recognition, special events, and other Conference initiatives. Utilize established templates and brand standards to maintain a consistent look across Conference platforms. Reporting Structure: Reports to the Associate Commissioner, Marketing & Communications. Benefits: Comprehensive medical, dental, and vision coverage for employees, with 100% of premiums paid by the Conference. 403(b) retirement plan with an 8% contribution from the Conference. Accrual of 20 days annual vacation time, in addition to five wellness days each year. 22 paid holidays in the 2026-27 academic year. Half-day Fridays in the summer from Memorial Day to Labor Day. Monthly cell phone reimbursement. Working Conditions: This position is based at the Conference Office. This position requires the ability to travel and work non-traditional hours, weekends, nights and holidays. This position includes required attendance at select Olympic sport championships, the Conference’s Basketball Championships and NCAA-hosted events. Strong on-camera presence with the ability to conduct interviews and deliver stand-ups. Ability to shoot and edit high-quality video content for digital and social media platforms. Proficiency in video editing and graphic design software, including Adobe Creative Suite or similar platforms. Strong understanding of social media platforms and current digital content trends. Strong storytelling skills with the ability to identify and develop engaging content. Ability to work collaboratively with Conference staff, member institutions, and external partners. Ability to manage multiple assignments with attention to detail and adherence to deadlines. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and produce timely content surrounding live events.
