Job Description
Athletic Trainer – Lehman High School
Lehman High School (Hays CISD) in Kyle, Texas, is seeking a licensed Athletic Trainer to oversee the prevention, evaluation, treatment, and rehabilitation of injuries involving our student-athletes.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree
- Valid Texas Athletic Trainer license
- Current CPR/AED certification
- BOC certification preferred
- Texas secondary teaching certificate preferred
- Strong communication, organization, and interpersonal skills
Primary Responsibilities
- Provide athletic training coverage for practices and competitions.
- Evaluate injuries and provide emergency and continued care.
- Develop injury-prevention, rehabilitation, and return-to-play programs.
- Coordinate referrals and communicate with physicians, parents, coaches, and staff.
- Maintain accurate medical and treatment records.
- Coordinate athletic physicals and health screenings.
- Supervise student athletic training assistants.
- Maintain athletic training equipment and supplies.
The position includes indoor and outdoor work, district and statewide travel, and occasional extended or irregular hours.
